Whats Up with Aviation IT

Something peculiar is happening in the world of Aviation IT. As technology and understanding has moved forward, managers have woken up to the fact that IT can be a business enabler for airlines and MROs. However very few aviation IT departments have moved forward from the status of internal vendors who monopolize the “computer problem” and are therefore ill equipped to meet the current and future requirements of their internal customers. This paper identifies the current IT requirements that all airlines and MROs seem to be demanding and the problems that the whole industry is facing to turn their visions into reality.

This white paper has been published in Issue One of AircraftIT MRO eJournal and is also available in presentation format.
